Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Doveito Pizza(“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and shares your personal information when you use this website, place an order, or contact us.

Doveito Pizza is the business responsible for your personal information in connection with your order.

Information we collect

When you place an order or contact us, we may collect:

• Your name
• Your telephone number
• Your email address, where you provide one
• Your delivery address, where you order delivery
• Your order details, including items, notes and order history
• Payment transaction details (we never see or store your full card number)
• Basic technical information such as your IP address and browser information

How we use your information

• To take, prepare, and fulfil your order
• To contact you about your order, including by SMS
• To take payment, and to process a refund where one is due
• To keep records of orders for accounting, tax and legal purposes
• To prevent fraud and misuse of this website

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need in order to run online ordering, and only so far as is necessary:

• Our online ordering and website provider, which hosts this website and stores order and customer records on our behalf.
• Stripe, our payment provider, which processes card payments and refunds. Card details are handled directly by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
• Our SMS provider, which sends you the text message confirming your order.
• Professional advisers, insurers, regulators or authorities, where we are required to do so by law.

Card payments

Card payments made on this website are processed securely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe may hold card information in a secure, tokenised form so that payments, refunds and disputes can be processed.

How long we keep it

We keep order and customer records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations. Payment and order records may be kept after your order is complete so that refunds, disputes and tax records can be handled.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it.

To make any of these requests, please contact Doveito Pizza directly by telephone on 01287 631222, or in person at the shop. We may need to confirm your identity before we can act on a request.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so that we can look into it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies and local storage necessary for it to work — for example, to remember the items in your basket while you are ordering. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version shown on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
